The Surf Hotel is a surf camp located in the peaceful village of Tamraght, nestled between Aourir and Taghazout and only 14 km from the city center of Agadir. Our hotel is the perfect place to discover the beauty of the southern Moroccan coastline, surf our local beaches at Aourir, Tamraght & Taghazout, or do an Imsouane Surf trip to discover the epic waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Surf Hotel offers elegant accommodation with quality service and traditional Moroccan dishes based on the natural products of the region. The hotel is only 200 meters from the main road to the city of Agadir and 400 meters to the closest surf spot of Crocs and Devils Rock.
Our goal is to offer you a unique surf holiday, taking advantage of all the activities at your disposal including; surf coaching, surf guiding, yoga, massage, as well as tours and excursions to Paradise Valley and Imsouane. Combine this with great comfort, delicious food and the highest standard of hospitality, we guarantee a memorable experience while staying at our humble surf retreat. Our small group surf lessons led by our accredited coaches with local insight and surf experience sets us apart from other surf camps in the region. Being local surfers themselves, our guides are able to use their knowledge of the local beaches (stretching from Agadir through Aourir, Tamraght, Taghazout, and all the way to Imsouane) and conditions to create the most optimal experience for your surfing trip. We are proud to follow the progress of our guests and use our knowledge, insight, and experience to keep pushing them to the next level. HOTEL AND AREA
The Surf Hotel is located in the hills of the Tamraght Ou Fella, on the north African coast of Morocco, half way between Agadir and Imsouane, nestled between the villages of Aourir and Taghazout. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to the closest beach in front of the newly developed Taghazout Bay complex. The region is famous for its 330 days of sun and favorably warm climate all year round. Tamraght is renowned for its laid-back pace and world-class waves for all surf levels. You can reach the city-center of Agadir in 20 mins (14 km) and the Al Massira International airport in Agadir in 40 minutes (33 km). It’s a short flight from most central European cities, making us the closest place for any European surfer to get a year-round wave and a unique cultural experience.
The Surf Hotel is surrounded by numerous famous surf spots, and accessible with our surf coaching and surf guiding packages, including Anza, Panorama, Taghazout, Anchor Point, Mysteries, Killer Point and every other wave on the way to Imsouane. With stunning views from our beautiful rooftop terrace, you can overlook our charming surf village, check out the waves in the morning and enjoy the glowing Moroccan sunsets in the evening. The closest beaches “CroCro” and “Devils Rock” are reachable by a short drive or only 10 minutes walk. RESTAURANT
A surfer cannot perform well in the water on an empty stomach. With this in mind, we have created a menu which offers a superb range of mouth-watering dishes from our on-site restaurant. From traditional Moroccan cuisine, highlighting our local cuisines such as Tajine, Pastillas, and CousCous, to international cuisine which range from burgers, pizzas, and kinds of pasta. Our chef also prepares delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as catering for those with dietary restrictions such as gluten and lactose intolerances. We strive to serve top quality, locally sourced, fresh and organic produce, to enhance flavors and keep your mouths watering for more. Breakfasts are served in the lobby lounge, a packed lunch is taken to the beach daily, and we serve our 3-course dinners on our Rooftop terrace overlooking Taghazout Bay and the sunset beyond the Atlantic Ocean.
EQUIPMENT
The Surf Hotel has been stocked with the highest quality equipment, from our furniture to our surf gear we always aim to provide the best. All our surfboards and wetsuits are from the best brands in the surf industry in order to provide our guests the best surf holidays!
We have a range of different types of boards depending on your ability. For our surf coaching packages, we start with Soft-tech or Ride-it-easy longboards by Moors and gradually progress as your ability improves. For those with more experience and on our surf guiding packages, we have a range of thrusters, fish, and guns. With over 150 boards in our range, we are sure to find one to suit your needs. We also provide 3 mm Rip Curl steamers to keep you warm in the water year round.
While you’re not out surfing, our climatized lobby also offers a PlayStation with a 42” LCD screen, on our rooftop we provide a ping pong table, a balance board to practice for the next day, and a notebook connected to our speakers to enjoy the view with your own music.
