TERMS & CONDITIONS
TERMS & CONDITIONS
By making a booking with The Surf Hotel Morocco, the guest confirms that they have read, understood and accepted the following terms and conditions.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only after the required deposit has been received and a booking confirmation has been issued by The Surf Hotel Morocco.
A 30% deposit must be paid within 48 hours of making the booking. If the deposit is not received within this period, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and release the room or package without further notice.
Guests are responsible for checking the information in their booking confirmation and informing us as soon as possible of any error.
2. Prices and Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival unless otherwise agreed in writing.
All prices and services included in the booking will be stated in the booking confirmation. Any additional services requested during the stay must be paid separately.
Changes to the number of guests, room category, package, dates or requested services may result in a price adjustment.
3. Cancellation by the Guest
All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email. The cancellation date will be the date on which The Surf Hotel Morocco receives the written request.
The 30% booking deposit is non-refundable in all cases.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against cancellation costs.
4. Changes to a Booking
Requests to change booking dates, accommodation, packages or the number of guests must be made in writing.
All changes are subject to availability and may result in a price difference or additional costs. A requested change is not confirmed until written confirmation has been issued by The Surf Hotel Morocco.
If the requested change cannot be accommodated, the original booking and its cancellation conditions will remain applicable.
5. No-Show, Late Arrival and Early Departure
In case of a no-show, late arrival or departure before the scheduled date, unused accommodation, meals, surf sessions, yoga sessions, transfers, activities and other services are non-refundable.
Surfing is not included on the arrival day when check-in takes place after midday. Surfing is not included on the departure day, as check-out is at 12:00.
6. Surf and Weather Conditions
Surfing and outdoor activities depend on ocean, tide, wind and weather conditions. Surf spots, schedules, instructors, transport arrangements and activities may therefore be changed for operational or safety reasons.
Small waves, unsuitable surf conditions, ordinary weather changes or a guest’s decision not to participate do not automatically qualify for a refund.
Whenever reasonably possible, The Surf Hotel Morocco will offer another surf spot, schedule, activity or suitable alternative. Safety decisions made by our team and instructors must be respected.
7. Force Majeure
The Surf Hotel Morocco shall not be responsible for any failure, delay, modification or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, fire, flood, earthquake, epidemic or pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions, border closures, transport disruption, failure of essential services or any other unforeseeable and unavoidable event.
In the event of force majeure, The Surf Hotel Morocco may modify, postpone, replace or cancel any affected accommodation, activity, transfer or service. We will make reasonable efforts to offer suitable alternative arrangements, new travel dates or a credit, depending on the circumstances.
Any refund will be considered according to the circumstances, the services already provided, any non-recoverable costs paid to third parties and applicable law.
The Surf Hotel Morocco is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by guests, including flights, alternative accommodation, transportation, visa costs or other personal expenses. Guests should claim such expenses through their travel insurance provider.
8. Cancellation by The Surf Hotel Morocco
If The Surf Hotel Morocco must cancel a booking for reasons within its control and cannot provide a suitable alternative, the guest will receive a refund of the amount paid for the services cancelled by the hotel.
When a cancellation or significant change is caused by force majeure, the conditions stated in the Force Majeure section will apply.
9.TRAVEL INSURANCE
9.1 Travel insurance is mandatory for all bookings. By making a booking, you confirm that you have or will obtain comprehensive travel insurance before your arrival.
9.2 Your insurance must cover:
Medical treatment and emergency repatriation;
Trip cancellation and curtailment;
Lost or damaged baggage; and
Participation in surfing, yoga, and other activities included in your package.
9.3 If you travel without adequate insurance, you are personally responsible for all costs and losses that insurance would normally cover. The Hotel will not be liable for any claims that should have been covered by your travel insurance.
10. Health, Safety and Participation
Surfing and other activities involve inherent risks. Guests participate voluntarily and are responsible for following all safety instructions provided by our instructors and team.
Guests must inform us before arrival of any relevant medical condition, injury, allergy, disability, dietary requirement or other circumstance that may affect their stay or participation in activities.
We reserve the right to prevent or stop a guest from participating in an activity if we reasonably believe that participation may endanger the guest, another person or our team.
Guests must not participate in surfing or other activities while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
11. Surf Equipment and Property Damage
Guests must use all surf equipment and hotel property responsibly and follow the instructions provided by our team.
Guests are responsible for any equipment or property that is lost or damaged through misuse, negligence or failure to follow instructions. Repair or replacement costs may be charged according to the extent of the damage.
Normal wear and tear will not be charged.
12. Guest Conduct
Guests must respect other guests, members of staff, local residents and hotel property.
The Surf Hotel Morocco reserves the right to end a guest’s stay or participation in activities in the event of dangerous, illegal, abusive or seriously disruptive behaviour. In such cases, no refund will be provided for unused services.
13. Refunds
When a refund is due, it will be returned using an appropriate payment method. Bank, payment-provider or currency-conversion fees may be deducted when these costs are outside the control of The Surf Hotel Morocco.
Accommodation, activities, meals, transfers or other services not used after the stay has started are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
14. Passports, Visas and Travel Documents
Guests are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, visas, travel authorisations and any other documents required for travel to Morocco.
The Surf Hotel Morocco is not responsible if a guest is unable to travel because of missing, incorrect or invalid travel documents.
15. Applicable Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Morocco. Any concern or complaint should first be communicated directly to The Surf Hotel Morocco so that we have the opportunity to resolve the matter fairly.
